This guide is intended for customers using HENNGE Email Archive with Microsoft 365.
Purpose
Configure the archiving of emails sent and received from Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online) to HENNGE Email Archive.

Detailed Procedure and Explanation
Pre-check Items
1. Confirmation of [Journal Rules] Count
There will be 2 [Journal Rules] created during this connection process. If there is a shortage of available rule slots, adjustments are necessary.
2. Check the Impact on Email Routes
If there are existing settings in the following sections, send screenshots of the configuration details to us before this connection process.

3. Prepare Setting Values
Please prepare the documentation provided by us, the HENNGE One Connection Configuration Sheet, in advance.
1. Configuration of [Undeliverable Journal Report Recipient]
1.1. Configure [Undeliverable Journal Report Recipient].
[Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal] → [Data Lifecycle Management] → [Exchange (Classic)] → [Settings]
Enter the following into [Undeliverable Journal Report Recipient] and save:
・ndr@journal.hdemail.jp
2. Configuration of [Journal Rules]
2.1. Create the first [Journal Rule].
[Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal] → [Data Lifecycle Management] → [Exchange (Classic)] → [Journal Rules] Click on it and enter the following information.
- [Journal Report Recipient]: As stated in "HENNGE One Connection Configuration Sheet"
- [Journal Rule Name]: HENNGE Journal Rule 1
- [Journal Message Sender or Receiver]: All Users
- [Type of Messages to Journal]: All Messages
After entering the information, click send.
2.2. Create the second [Journal Rule].
[Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal] → [Data Lifecycle Management] → [Exchange (Classic)] → [Journal Rules] Click on it again and enter the following information.
- [Journal Report Recipient]: As stated in "HENNGE One Connection Configuration Sheet"
- [Journal Rule Name]: HENNGE Journal Rule 2
- [Journal Message Sender or Receiver]: All Users
- [Type of Messages to Journal]: All Messages
After entering the information, click send.
2.3. See the created journal rules are shown after configuring.
3. Connection Confirmation
3.1. Confirm whether the connection has been successfully completed.
