Overview
This guide explains how to install device certificates for users who use device certificates on macOS.
Notes
- The content of this article is based on the product specifications as of March 2026 and is subject to change without notice.
- Depending on the device and OS version you are using, the screens displayed may differ slightly.
- If you are using macOS 15 or later, you need to temporarily turn off the Private Wi-Fi setting by following steps 1 to 5 in this procedure.
* If not performed, Device Certificate installation may fail.
* After installation is complete, you may revert the setting without any issues. - If an error occurs during the certificate installation, please refer to the following article for troubleshooting steps.
Error Messages Collection for HENNGE Device Certificate (macOS)
Procedure
If you are using macOS 15 or later, please follow all steps starting from Disable Private Wi-Fi Setting.
If you are using a version earlier than macOS 15, please proceed from Install Device Certificates onward.
Disable Private Wi-Fi Setting
- On the target Mac device, open System Settings and click [Wi-Fi].

On the Wi-Fi settings screen, click [Details] for the Wi-Fi you are using.

From the [Private Wi-Fi Address] menu, change the setting to [Off].
* If you plan to revert the setting after Device Certificate installation, please record the default value.
If the setting is already Off, proceed to step 6. - If the popup [Turn off Private Wi-Fi Address?] appears, click [Turn Off] to return to the settings screen.
- Confirm that [Private Wi-Fi Address] is Off, then click [OK].
Install Device Certificates

Open the notification email for certificate installation and click the URL listed in [Step 1].
* The certificate installation email will be sent from the address noreply@ssso.hdems.com. - Confirm that the [Cybertrust DeviceiD Importer] download is complete.

Open the downloaded [Cybertrust DeviceiD Importer] and move DeviceID Importer to Applications from the installer screen.
- From your Mac device, open LaunchPad and launch Cybertrust DeviceiD Importer.
- A popup will appear. Click [Open].
* Depending on your settings for allowing downloaded applications to run, you may not be able to proceed.
If so, change the "Allow downloaded applications" setting as follows:- Open Mac System Settings and click [Privacy & Security].
- At the bottom of the Security section, set [Allow applications downloaded from] to [App Store and identified developers].

The certificate identifier input screen will appear. Enter the certificate identifier found in the certificate installation email from step 1, then click [Register Certificate].
* If an error message appears, please refer to the following article for troubleshooting steps.
Device Certificate for Mac Error Messages - A popup will appear. Enter your Mac device password and click [OK].
* It may take a few minutes after clicking the [OK] button for the certificate installation to complete. -
When the certificate installation complete screen appears, click [OK] to finish the certificate installation process.

(For macOS 15 or later only) Restore the Private Wi-Fi setting to its original value.
If necessary, revert the Private Wi-Fi setting that you changed to [Off] in Disable Private Wi-Fi Setting back to its previous value.After installing the Device Certificate, when logging in to HENNGE using the certificate, click the [Log in with Certificate] button on the login screen below to proceed.
* When logging in for the first time using a Device Certificate, you may be prompted to enter your PC password.
In that case, after entering your password, click [Always Allow].
