This applies to administrators of HENNGE Access Control.
Purpose
To issue HENNGE Device Certificate from the admin console.

Detailed Explanation / Procedure
Issuing of HENNGE Device Certificate is enabled from the left menu of the HENNGE Access Control admin console, "Device Certificate" - "Certificates"
Procedure
1. Select "+ Register Certificates."
2. Fill in the necessary information for certificate issuance.
The maximum number of certificates that can be issued at once is the number of device certificates you have contracted.
If you attempt to register more certificates than the limit, a warning will be displayed on the certificate registration screen.
Method 1 (Direct Input):
Follow the table in Step 3 and fill in the required information for certificate registration in each input field. (*1)
Method 2 (Bulk Registration):
If you use a file for batch filling, select "Certificate Registration List template" and download the template. (*2)
Follow the table in Step 3, fill in the necessary information in the file, and then upload the file using "Drag & Drop or Select File." (*3)
The file must be created in UTF-8 character encoding. Supported upload formats include XLS, XLSX, CSV, or TSV.
If an error occurs for some reason and the registration of some certificates is not completed, select [Download unregistered certificate list (CSV)] and download the unregistered certificate list to CSV. Download it. By editing this list and uploading it again, you can extract only the unregistered items and re-register them. (*4)
3. Fill in the required information for certificate issuance as follows.
According to the table below, enter the information directly into the certificate registration screen or in each column of the file.
For each HENNGE Device Certificate to be issued, fill in one row.
If issuing multiple HENNGE Device Certificates at once, fill in the rows for the number of certificates to be issued.
For certain items, the item names and input values may differ between direct input and using a file. Refer to the "Direct Input:" content in the table below for direct input on the screen, and refer to the "File:" content for filling in using a file.

Choose and fill in one of the following options. Personal
Direct Input: Select "Personal".

Only the user specified in the "User" can use HENNGE Device Certificate.
When logging in, after selecting the HENNGE Device Certificate, the user must enter a password.
Passwordless
Direct Input: Select "Passwordless".
File: Select "passwordless".
Only the user specified in the "User" can use HENNGE Device Certificate.
When logging in, after selecting the HENNGE Device Certificate, the user can log in without entering a password.
Shared
Direct Input: Select "Shared".
File: Select "shared".
Multiple users can use HENNGE Device Certificate.
When logging in, after selecting the HENNGE Device Certificate, the user must enter the username and a password.

Specify the OS of the device which the HENNGE Device Certificate will be installed. Choose and fill in one of the following options:
If installing on macOS
Direct Input: Select "macOS".
File: Select "macos".
If installing on Windows
Direct Input: Select "Windows".

If installing on iOS
Direct Input: Select "iOS".
File: Select "ios".
If installing on Android
Direct Input: Select "Android".
File: Select "android".
If installing on Chromebook
Direct Input: Select "Chromebook".

| Device ID type |
The available device ID types vary depending on the OS specified in the "OS" field above. Choose and fill in one of the following options If the "OS" is macos
Direct Input: Select "MAC".
File: Select "mac".
If the "OS" is windows
Direct Input: Select "MAC User".
File: Select "mac-user".
If the "OS" is ios
Direct Input: Select "IMEI" or "UDID".
File: Select "imei" or "udid".
If the "OS" is Android
Direct Input: Select "MAC".
File: Select "guid".
If the "OS" is chromebook
Direct Input: Select "Serial".
File: Select "serial".

| Device ID |
It depends on the "Device ID Type" selected above. If the "Device ID Type" is mac, MAC, mac-user, or MAC User Enter the MAC address of the device which the HENNGE Device Certificate will be installed. If the "Device ID Type" is imei or IMEI Enter the IMEI of the device which the HENNGE Device Certificate will be installed. If the "Device ID Type" is udid or UDID Enter the UDID of the device which the HENNGE Device Certificate will be installed. If the "Device ID Type" is guid or GUID Enter the GUID displayed in the Device ID application. If the "Device ID Type" is serial or Serial Enter the serial number of the device which the HENNGE Device Certificate will be installed. |
| Installation Email |
An email will be sent to the specified email address in this field, containing instructions on how to install the HENNGE Device Certificate. The "Installation Email" does not need to be associated with the "User" specifically. If the administrator is installing the HENNGE Device Certificate on behalf of the user, it is also possible to specify the administrator's own email address. ※ When issuing the HENNGE Device Certificate to a Chromebook, leave the "Installation Email" blank |

| Language |
Select the language for the email containing instructions on how to install the HENNGE Device Certificate. Choose and fill in one of the following two options For English File: Select "en". Direct Input: Select "English". For Japanese File: Select "ja". Direct Input: Select "Japanese". ※ When issuing the HENNGE Device Certificate to a Chromebook, leave the language field blank. |
4. We will verify that the information entered for certificate issuance is correct.
Confirm that the status on the left side of each certificate registration row is not showing an error. You can enable the option to "Display only error rows" to switch to displaying only the rows with errors.
5. Select "[Register X Certificates]."
6. Click [Device Cert Operations] under [Log Management] in the left menu of the HENNGE Access Control admin console, and confirm that the status of "Registration" is displayed for device certificate operations.
Immediately after certificate registration, the status will show as "Pending."
After the email is sent to the specified email address, the status will change to "Done."
