Tenant settings modification (Modern)

Target

Administrators responsible for the initial setup and operational management of HENNGE Secure Transfer are the target audience for this article.

Purpose

This article explains how to configure tenants (general settings, file transfer settings, etc.) in HENNGE Secure Transfer.

The content of this article is based on product specifications as of February 2024 and may be subject to change without notice in the future.

Detailed Explanation / Procedure

To change tenant settings, log in to HENNGE Secure Transfer with an administrator account and proceed from the left menu [ Transfer settings ], [ Link Settings ], or [ Account ].

1. Transfer settings

1.1 File size

Set the maximum size of files that can be uploaded in file transfers.
Changes can be made using the following steps.

1.1.1 Click on [ File Size ] in the left menu.

1.1.2 Select the target domain.

※ Domain selection is only possible for users with tenant administrator privileges.

1.1.3 Select [ File Size ].

1.1.4 Click the [ Save ] button.

1.2 Encrypted File

Prevent users and guests from downloading encrypted files.
Changes can be made using the following steps.

1.2.1 Click [ Encrypted File ] on the left menu.

1.2.2 Select the target domain.

※ Domain selection is only possible for users with tenant administrator privileges.

1.2.3 Select the [ Prohibit transfer of encrypted files ] checkbox.

1.2.4 Click the [ Save ] button.

1.3 Transfer Type

Sets the transfer types that users can create.

[ Transfer Type ]

・Send and Receive: Allows both sending and receiving file transfers.

・Send only: Allow file transfers only.

・Receive only: Allows file transfers to be received only.

[ Transfer type ] can be changed using the following steps.
If you change the transfer type, any previously created transfer types that do not match the changed transfer type will be Users will no longer be able to add files or edit links to the transfer. (You can stop the link or download the file.)

1.3.1 Click [ Transfer Type ] on the left menu.

1.3.2 Select the target domain.

※ Domain selection is only possible for users with tenant administrator privileges.

1.3.2 Select the item you want to change.

1.3.4 Click the [ Save ] button.

2. Link Settings

2.1. Security Policies

[ Security Policies ] allows you to change security policy settings and password settings for file transfers.

[Security Policy Settings]

Email Address Authentication:

・Required - Specified email address only : Requires authentication of the specified email address when transferring files.

・Required - Either the specified email address or all email addresses: Requires authentication of either the specified email address or all email addresses when transferring files.

・Optional: Users can choose whether to require email address authentication when transferring files.

・Do not use: Does not require email address verification when transferring files.

Password Protection:

・Required: Password protection is mandatory when transferring files.

・Optional: Users can choose whether to apply password protection when transferring files.

・Do not use: Does not require password protection when transferring files.

[ Password Settings ]

Password Length: Can be set from 8 to 64 characters.

Password Characters: You can choose the types of characters required for the password from the following options.

■ Uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, symbols

・※ Symbols can include the following character types (except spaces):
~!@#$%^&*()_+`-=|[]\:";'<>?,./

 

You can make changes to [Security Policies] using the following steps.
If you change the security policy, you will no longer be able to edit the security policy from the [File Transfer History] screen for previously created links that do not match the changed security policy. (Links can be stopped and re-enabled.)

2.1.1. Click on [ Security Policies ] in the left menu.

2.1.2. Select the target domain.

※ Domain selection is only possible for users with tenant administrator privileges.

2.1.3. Select the items you want to change.

2.1.4. Click the [ Save ] button.

2.2. Download Limits

Set the maximum number of times a guest can download per file uploaded using the "Send" function. Users can change the value for each file transfer, with the set value as the maximum.
You can make changes using the following steps.

2.2.1. Click on [ Download Limits ] in the left menu.

2.2.2. Select the target domain.

※ Domain selection is only possible for users with tenant administrator privileges.

2.2.3. Specify the download limit.

2.2.4. Click the [ Save ] button.

2.3. Expiration Date Settings

Set the maximum expiration date for generated file transfer URLs. Users can change the value for each URL, with the set value as the maximum.
You can make changes using the following steps.

2.3.1. Click on [ Expiration Date Settings ] in the left menu.

2.3.2. Select the target domain.

※ Domain selection is only possible for users with tenant administrator privileges.

2.3.3. Specify the maximum expiration date.

2.3.4. Click the [ Save ] button.

2.4. Guest Consent Screen

[ Guest Consent Screen ] allows you to enable or disable the guest consent screen and change the message displayed on the consent screen.
If you plan to use it as a GDPR consent screen, please refer to GDPR Compliance.
This is an optional step and not required to start using HENNGE Secure Transfer (Modern).

You can make changes using the following steps.

2.4.1. Click on [ Guest Consent Screen ] in the left menu.

2.4.2. Select the target domain.

※ Domain selection is only possible for users with tenant administrator privileges.

2.4.3. Select the [ Enable Guest Consent Screen ] checkbox.

2.4.4. Edit the message.

2.4.5. Click the [ Save ] button.

3. Account

[ Account ] allows you to change user permissions and login restrictions.

3.1. User Management

[ User Management ] allows you to view a list of users and change their permissions.
Press [User Management] in the left menu to display a list of users.

Email Address: The user's email address is displayed.

Username: The user's username is displayed.

Permissions: The permissions granted to the user are displayed.

・Regular User: File transfer only

・Domain Administrator: Can change settings for their own domain

・Tenant Administrator: Can change settings for all domains

To change a user's permissions, follow the steps below on the user list screen.

3.1.1. Select the target user.

※ Domain administrators can only select users from their own domain.

3.1.2. Select the permissions you want to change.

※ Domain administrators can only select regular users or domain administrators.

3.1.3. Click the [ Save ] button.

3.2. User Login Restrictions * In the case of authentication by Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace

If this function is enabled, only users with administrator privileges can log in to HENNGE Secure Transfer.

You can make changes using the following steps.

3.2.1. Click on [ User Login Restrictions ] in the left menu.

3.2.2. Select the target domain.

※ Domain selection is only possible for users with tenant administrator privileges.

3.2.3. Select the [ Restrict User Logins ] checkbox.

3.2.4. Click the [ Save ] button.
