Description
This article explains the procedure for admins using Secure Transfer to grant permissions from Secure Transfer to Microsoft 365 when starting to use the service.
Notes
- To perform this procedure, you need a Microsoft 365 global admin account with an Exchange Online license assigned.
- The content of this article is based on the product specifications as of April 2026 and may change without notice.
- This procedure only needs to be performed once per tenant when starting to use Secure Transfer.
- Due to updates or specification changes, the display and other details may differ in some cases.
Procedure
Open your browser and access the Secure Transfer URL.
https://transfer.hennge.com/The Secure Transfer login screen will be displayed. Enter the global admin's email address and click [Next].
- The Microsoft 365 login screen will be displayed. Sign in with an account that has Microsoft 365 global admin privileges.
The [Requested permissions] screen will be displayed. Check [Consent on behalf of your organization] and click [Accept].
* After clicking [Accept], an error screen may appear in Secure Transfer, but this does not affect the process.
If you did not check [Consent on behalf of your organization]
Please grant organizational consent using the following procedure.
- Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center with a global admin account and access [Enterprise applications] from the left menu.
- On the Enterprise applications screen, select [All applications] and open [HENNGE Secure Transfer] from the list.
- The overview of the app will be displayed. From the menu on the screen, open [Permissions].
- On the Permissions screen, click [Grant admin consent for "Tenant Name"].
- The Microsoft 365 login screen will be displayed. Sign in with an admin account.
- When [Requested permissions] is displayed, click [Accept].
