Description
This article explains the procedure for admins who use Secure Transfer to grant Secure Transfer permissions to Microsoft 365 when starting to use the service.
Notes
- To perform this procedure, you need a Microsoft 365 global admin account with an Exchange Online license assigned.
- The content of this article is based on the product specifications as of April 2026 and may change without notice.
- This procedure only needs to be performed once per tenant when starting to use Secure Transfer.
- Due to updates or specification changes, some screens or displays may differ.
Procedure
Open your browser and access the Secure Transfer URL.
https://transfer.hennge.com/The Secure Transfer login screen will appear. Enter the global admin email address and click [Next].
- The Microsoft 365 login screen will appear. Sign in with an account that has Microsoft 365 global admin privileges.
When the [Requested permissions] screen appears, check [Consent on behalf of your organization] and click [Accept].
* After clicking [Accept], an error screen may appear in Secure Transfer, but this does not affect the process.
If you did not check [Consent on behalf of your organization]
If you did not check [Consent on behalf of your organization], users will see the following message when accessing Secure Transfer.
Admin approval required
HENNGE Secure Transfer needs permission to access resources in your organization.
Only an admin can grant this permission.
To use the application, please ask your admin to grant access to this app first.If the above message appears, please follow the steps below to grant organization-wide consent.
- Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center with a global admin account and go to [Enterprise applications] from the left menu.
- On the Enterprise applications screen, select [All applications] and open [HENNGE Secure Transfer] from the list.
- The application overview will be displayed. From the menu on the screen, open [Permissions].
- On the Permissions screen, click [Grant admin consent for "Organization name"].
- The Microsoft 365 login screen will appear. Sign in with an admin account.
- When [Requested permissions] appears, click [Accept].
