Transition Procedure Overview from HENNGE Secure Transfer Classic to Modern

This applies to customers using HENNGE Secure Transfer (Classic).

Purpose

We will guide you through the process of migrating from HENNGE Secure Transfer (Classic) to HENNGE Secure Transfer (Modern).

1. Preparations

1.1. Check if HENNGE Secure Transfer (Modern) is available

We will send a release announcement by email to the registered contact person when it becomes available in your environment.

Please check if you have received the email.

1.2. Confirm the authentication method of HENNGE Secure Transfer (Classic)

The procedure for starting to use HENNGE Secure Transfer (Modern) varies depending on the authentication method of HENNGE Secure Transfer (Classic).
Please check the following steps and confirm the authentication method.

2. Connection Procedure

Please check the procedure corresponding to the authentication method confirmed in step 1.2 above.

2.1. If the authentication method is HENNGE Access Control

2.1.1 Confirm Name ID of HENNGE Secure Transfer (Classic)

1) Access the HENNGE Access Control administration screen with an administrator user and open the editing screen for the settings for HENNGE Secure Transfer (Classic) from "Service Provider Settings."
※ If the name is "HENNGE Secure Transfer (Modern)," it is settings for Modern, so please check other settings for HENNGE Secure Transfer.

2) Confirm the contents set in the "Name ID" item in the settings.

 

2.1.2 Confirm and Change Name ID of HENNGE Secure Transfer (Modern)

1) Open the editing screen of "HENNGE Secure Transfer (Modern)" from "Service Provider Settings" on the HENNGE Access Control administration screen.

2) Confirm the contents set in the "Name ID" item in the settings and, if different from what was confirmed in 2.1.1, correct it to the content confirmed in 2.1.1 and save.

 

2.1.3 Connection Procedure for HENNGE Secure Transfer (HENNGE Access Control)
※ Since "HENNGE Secure Transfer (Modern)" is already registered in the "Service Provider Settings" on the HENNGE Access Control administration screen,
please proceed from step 2, "Service permission for target users."

2.2. Authentication with Microsoft 365

Grant access permissions to HENNGE Secure Transfer using Microsoft 365 administrator privileges.

* When logging in to HENNGE Secure Transfer (Modern), the login ID is the "primary email address."

2.3. Authentication with Google Workspace

To restrict users in Google Workspace groups, follow the steps below.

3. Operational Testing by Administrator Users

Verify that administrator users can log in to HENNGE Secure Transfer.

4.2. Setting Google Group Login Restrictions (Google Workspace Authentication Only)

To restrict users in Google Workspace groups, follow the steps below.

5. Start of Operations

Change the settings of HENNGE Secure Transfer to allow general users to log in.

5.1. Authentication with HENNGE Access Control

If the user permission settings made in Step 2.1.3 "Service Permission for Target Users" are not set for general users, change the settings.

5.2. Authentication with Microsoft 365

Change the settings of HENNGE Secure Transfer to allow general users to log in.

6. Operation Test

6.1. Operation Test by General Users of HENNGE Secure Transfer

Verify that general users can log in to HENNGE Secure Transfer.

7. Discontinuation of HENNGE Secure Transfer (Classic) Usage

Perform this when discontinuing the use of HENNGE Secure Transfer (Classic) after transitioning to HENNGE Secure Transfer (Modern).
If the authentication method is HENNGE Access Control, you can control login to HENNGE Secure Transfer (Classic) in the access policy group.
If the authentication method is not HENNGE Access Control, you can use the "Stop Domain" function to stop the use of HENNGE Secure Transfer (Classic).
Please check the specific procedures for each authentication method below.

7.1 Authentication with HENNGE Access Control

7.1.1 Log in to the HENNGE Access Control management screen with an account that has administrator privileges

 

7.1.2 From the access policy group menu, open the edit screen of the access policy group that allows login to HENNGE Secure Transfer (Classic)

 

7.1.3 Uncheck HENNGE Secure Transfer (Classic) from [Allowed Service Providers] in the edit screen and select [Submit] or [Change]

7.2 Authentication Method Other Than HENNGE Access Control

By performing this operation, all users including administrators will be unable to access HENNGE Secure Transfer (Classic).
All previously issued URLs in the stopped domain environment will be invalidated, and access to files, action logs, etc., will be unavailable.
Once this operation is executed, it cannot be restored.
Please check the content and, if necessary, export data and announce to users in advance.

7.2.1 Confirming Usage Domain Information

1) Log in with an account that has tenant administrator privileges for HENNGE Secure Transfer (Modern).

2) Select the currently selected domain displayed at the top of each setting item in the side menu, and take note of the information for each registered domain in the list.

7.2.2 Stop the Domain in HENNGE Secure Transfer (Classic)

Log in to HENNGE Secure Transfer (Classic) and perform the domain stopping operation by referring to [Stop this domain] in the following article.
If you have multiple usage domains, log in to the HENNGE Secure Transfer (Classic) environment with the administrator account for each domain and perform the stopping process.
