Overview
What is the HENNGE Access Control Self-Password Reset Feature?
This feature allows users to reset their passwords without contacting the administrator, by setting up a pre-designated email address for password delivery. Previously, when a password was forgotten, the administrator had to reset the password through the admin interface and notify the user of the new password, requiring additional effort. This process is now unnecessary.
Important Points
There are important points to consider when using this feature. By utilizing this feature, it is assumed that you have read and agreed to the following points:
1. Users synchronized with passwords from Active Directory cannot use this feature.
2. Unless the feature is activated in the HENNGE Access Control admin interface in advance, users cannot use this feature.
Please refer to the Activation Procedure for enabling the feature details.
3. The email address and domain set as the self-password reset notification destination cannot be restricted. Users can set any email address, and it is not possible to prohibit the registration of personal email addresses. It is necessary to register email addresses that do not require HENNGE Access Control authentication.
4. Only one email address can be registered per user.
5. Currently, there is no feature that requires administrator approval for email address registration. Administrators can verify the set email addresses.
