Purpose
This article explains how to include all or specific users (mailboxes) as protection targets in Exchange Online for a Microsoft 365 tenant added to Cloud Protection.

Procedure
Accessing the Cloud Protection Administration
- Open the Cloud Protection Administration.
For instructions on how to access the Administration, please refer to the following procedure.
[Cloud Protection] How to log in to the Administration - From the menu on the left side of the screen, click [COLLABORATION PROTECTION] - [Cloud Services].
When including all users as protection targets
- In the [Exchange] column of the target cloud service, select [Configure Security Protection].
If protection target mailboxes have already been configured, select the numeric icon in the relevant column. - Select [Protect all mailboxes], then select [Save] at the bottom of the page.
* It may take 30 minutes to several hours for the protection target mailboxes to be displayed.
* When [Protect all mailboxes] is selected, [Automatically protect newly added mailboxes] will be turned ON and cannot be turned OFF. - Confirm that the [Status] column for all mailboxes shows [Protected].
- If the only item to connect is Exchange, perform the following steps to check the operation.

When including only specific users as protection targets
- In the [Exchange] column of the target cloud service, select [Configure Security Protection].
If protection target mailboxes have already been configured, select the numeric icon in the relevant column. - Select [Customize mailbox protection].
* If changing from [Protect all mailboxes], please press [Save] at the bottom of the screen before proceeding to the next step. - Select the checkbox next to the mailbox you want to include as a protection target, then select [Turn on security protection] at the bottom of the page.
* It may take 30 minutes to several hours for the protection target mailboxes to be displayed. - Confirm that the [Status] column for the mailboxes selected in the above procedure shows [Protected].
- If you want to automatically include newly added mailboxes in Microsoft 365 as protection targets after configuring security protection, turn ON [Automatically protect newly added mailboxes] and select [Save] at the bottom of the page.
