Protected mailboxes - protect all or specific users

Target

This is for customers who are implementing HENNGE Cloud Protection.

Purpose

This explains how to protect all or specific users (mailboxes) in Exchange Online of Microsoft 365 tenants added to HENNGE Cloud Protection.

Details

1.  Accessing the HENNGE Cloud Protection Management Screen

1.1. Open the HENNGE Cloud Protection management screen.

Refer to the following steps for accessing the management screen.

Access HENNGE Cloud Protection Admin Console

1.2. From the left menu of the screen, click [COLLABORATION PROTECTION] - [Cloud Services].

 

2. Protecting All Users

2.1. Select [Configure Security Protection] in the [Exchange] column of the target cloud service.
If mailboxes have already been configured for protection, select the icon with the number in the target column.

2.2. Select [Protect All Mailboxes] and then select [Save] at the bottom of the page.

※ It may take 30 minutes to several hours for protected mailboxes to appear.

※ If you select [Protect All Mailboxes], [Automatically protect newly added mailboxes] will be turned on and cannot be turned off.

2.3. Confirm that the [Status] column for all mailboxes shows [Protected].

2.4. If the only item to connect is Exchange, perform the following and confirm operation.

3. Protecting Specific Users

3.1. Select [Configure Security Protection] in the [Exchange] column of the target cloud service.
If mailboxes have already been configured for protection, select the icon with the number in the target column.

3.2. Select [Customize Mailbox Protection].

※ If you want to change from [Protect All Mailboxes], press [Save] at the bottom of the screen before proceeding to 3.3.

3.3. Select the checkbox next to the mailboxes you want to protect and then select [Turn Security Protection On] at the bottom of the page.

※ It may take 30 minutes to several hours for protected mailboxes to appear.

3.4. Confirm that the [Status] column for the mailboxes selected in step 3.3. shows [Protected].

3.5. If you want newly added mailboxes to be automatically protected after configuring security protection, turn on [Automatically protect newly added mailboxes] and select [Save] at the bottom of the page.
