Target
Customers who have completed the connection between HENNGE Email DLP and Microsoft 365 are the target.
Purpose
This is to confirm whether the connection between HENNGE Email DLP and Microsoft 365 has been correctly established and if the FILTER is functioning as per your requirements.

Detailed Steps and Descriptions
1. Preparations
1.1. Send a test email from Microsoft 365 to internal/external recipients.
2. Microsoft 365 Verification Steps
2.1. Access the [Microsoft 365 Admin Center].
2.2. Select [Exchange] from the left menu.
2.3. Select [Mail flow] → [Message trace] from the left menu.
2.4. Select [+ Start a trace].
2.5. Enter the address from which the test email was sent in [Senders] and select [Search].
Enter other conditions as necessary.
2.6. Select the test email addressed to internal recipients from the search results.
2.7. In the [Status] column, confirm that it has not been forwarded to HENNGE Email DLP.
Confirm that it does not display [Connector name: HENNGE Email DLP].
2.8. Return to the search screen and select the test email addressed to external recipients from the search results.
2.9. In the [Status] column, confirm that it is being forwarded to HENNGE Email DLP.
Confirm that it displays [Connector name: HENNGE Email DLP].
If the email is not forwarded to HENNGE Email DLP, please check the connection steps for any errors.

3. HENNGE Email DLP Verification Steps
3.1. Access the management screen of HENNGE Email DLP.
The URL of the management screen of HENNGE Email DLP includes the main domain of your environment.
Replace the [Main Domain] part in the following URL with your main domain.
https://console.mo.hdems.com/#/admin/[Main Domain]
If the main domain is "example.com", the URL will be as follows:
https://console.mo.hdems.com/#/admin/example.com
3.2. Select [History] → [Filter History].
3.3. Search with any date from the search box in the upper right, and confirm that only test emails addressed to external recipients are displayed, and internal emails are not displayed.
3.4. Open the details of the external test email and confirm that the intended filter, action, and rule are applied.
Depending on your requirements, please change the conditions such as with attachment / without attachment and verify.
