[Email DLP] Group Sync with Microsoft Entra ID Settings

Target

• Admins using Email DLP

Purpose

• This procedure explains the required settings to sync group information from Microsoft 365 to Email DLP.

Notes

1. A Microsoft 365 global admin account is required to perform this procedure.
2. The content of this article is based on the products as of September 2025 and may be subject to change without notice.
3. Admin privileges for Email DLP are required to view the actual screens or change settings.

5. The following three types of groups can be synced from Microsoft 365 to Email DLP.
   * Dynamic distribution groups are not included in group sync.
   • Microsoft 365 Groups
   • Security groups
   • Mail-enabled security groups
   • Distribution lists

Procedure

1. In the Email DLP administration left menu, click [Tenant Settings] > [Integrations] > [Authorize] button.

   

2. The Microsoft 365 sign-in screen will appear. Sign in with a global admin account.

3. On the [Requested permissions] screen, click [Accept].

4. Confirm that the screen transitions to the [Integrations] page in the Email DLP administration.

5. If "Enabled" is displayed for [Group Sync with Microsoft Entra ID] on the [Integrations] page in the Email DLP administration, the setup is complete.
