Sending Samples for HENNGE Cloud Protection (Sample Analysis System)

Target

Administrators responsible for the initial setup and operational management of Cloud Protection

Purpose

If Cloud Protection detects the following cases, you can send samples (files/URLs/emails) to the manufacturer (WithSecure) to improve detection accuracy or confirm the safety of files.

  1. False positive: Detecting a harmless item as harmful
  2. False negative: Detecting a harmful item as harmless

This article explains the procedure for submitting a sample investigation request via the form.

Notes

  1. The content of this article is based on the product specifications as of December 2025 and is subject to change without notice.
  2. Administrator privileges for Cloud Protection are required to view the actual screens or make configuration changes.
  3. For instructions on how to log in to the Cloud Protection Administration, please refer to the following procedure.

  4. When sending sample files using this procedure, communication with the manufacturer (WithSecure) will be in English.

Procedure 

Preparing the Sample File

If the sample is a file, please compress it into a ZIP file with a password.
Be sure to set the password to "infected" (in half-width alphanumeric characters, without the quotation marks).
*For administrative purposes, please submit one request per sample.

Sending the Sample File

  1. From the left menu of the Administration, go to [Request logs].

  2. On the Request logs list screen, click [Create request].

  3. For "Select an option:", choose [Submit sample for verification].

  4. Input fields will appear. Set the [Sample type] that matches the sample you want to send.
    *You can select either File, URL, or Email address.

  5. Enter the required information and click [Create request].
    For details on the configuration values, please refer to the table at the bottom of the page.

  6. You will receive a reply from WithSecure.
    *You will not receive a notification for replies, so please check the Request logs list regularly.
