Target
HENNGE Access Control Admin Console users.
Overview
The editing permissions for HENNGE Access Control Admin Console have been subdivided.
Previously, there was only one type of administrator authority, allowing both viewing and editing of all menus.
With this update, the level of editing permission has been subdivided for each menu in the Admin Console.
It is now possible to grant execution rights to the necessary menus according to the role.
With this release, the "Administrator" has been renamed to "Global Administrator".
Permissions for each administrator
- All administrators have permission to view all pages.
- All administrators can download log files (CSV).
- Editing permissions for pages differ depending on the administrator's role. Please refer to the following for details.
No. | Administrator Name | Authority |
① | Global Admin | Has editing permission for all menus. |
② | Device Certificate & secure Browser Admin | Has both permissions of ③ and ④ below. |
③ | Secure Browser Admin | Can approve, reject, and edit Secure Browser. |
④ | Device Certificate Admin | Can issue, revoke, and edit device certificates. |
⑤ | Read Only Admin | Does not have editing permission for all menus. |
Background
We have received many requests from customers who outsource Secure Browser approval requests and device certificate management and operation to allow execution and editing permissions for some menus in the Admin Console.
We have also received many requests for "users who can only view the Admin Console but do not have editing permissions" from an audit perspective.
Based on these many voices, we have now made it possible to set subdivided permissions.
Notes
The format of the CSV file for bulk user operations (create/update) has been partially changed.
BEFORE: User privileges were specified as either 1 (administrator) or 0 (user).
AFTER: The administrator role must be specified as a character string.
- BEFORE: User role is either 1 (administrator) or 0 (user)
-
AFTER: User role is one of the strings corresponding to the authority to be granted (6 types)
* Select from 6 types including the 5 types ① to ⑤ in the table above and the user role.
Processing is still possible with the previous format (specifying the Is Admin column as 1 or 0), but if you want to create or update users with the newly added permissions ② to ⑤, you need to use the new format. (The format in which the specified character string is written in the Role column) must be used.
For detailed procedures, please refer to the following manuals.
