Overview of Features
HENNGE Cloud Protection is a cloud service that protects information on Microsoft 365 from malicious content and URLs.
Malware Blocking
Real-time scanning of harmful content allows for the isolation of viruses, trojans, ransomware, and other advanced malware.
URL Protection
HENNGE Cloud Protection scans information on Microsoft 365 in real-time and verifies the reputation of URLs linked in the content. If the site of the linked URL is deemed malicious, the corresponding item with that URL can be isolated, deleted, or the URL can be disabled.
Detection of Compromised Accounts
If a specific account's email address and password combination are leaked, third parties may use that account to infiltrate organizations and engage in phishing activities, ransomware attacks, unauthorized information access through impersonation, and more. Attacks using compromised accounts are difficult to detect as they are executed as legitimate user accounts of the organization. HENNGE Cloud Protection's compromised account detection feature monitors users' email addresses from external sources and provides notifications if compromised accounts are exposed. Additionally, based on the type of compromised information, it provides information on the severity of the compromise and the potential for continued misuse of those accounts.
Scan of Inbox Rules
The Inbox Rules in Outlook automatically detect specific malicious actions set for incoming emails. Attackers, after gaining access to a mailbox, create Inbox rules to execute various types of attacks such as automatic forwarding or deletion of emails. The Inbox Rules scan feature analyzes all Inbox rules in the mailbox, helping to detect suspicious rules that may indicate an account compromise. It can also notify mailbox owners and administrators to take action.
Notes and Limitations
・HENNGE Cloud Protection is compatible with the following Microsoft 365 plans:
-
- Microsoft 365 E3/E5/F1/F3
- Microsoft 365 Business Basic/Standard/Premium
- Microsoft 365 A1/A3/A5
- Office 365 E1/E3/E5
- Office 365 A1/A3/A5
- Exchange Online Plan1
- Exchange Online Plan2
- SharePoint Online Plan1
- SharePoint Online Plan2
- OneDrive for Business Plan1
- OneDrive for Business Plan2
・It inspects the following items on connected Microsoft 365:
-
- Exchange Online (attachments and URLs in the text)
- Emails (Inbox, Sent Items, Inbox Rules)
- Calendar/Tasks/Contacts/Notes
- Teams (attachments)
- SharePoint Online (attachments)
- OneDrive
・Existing information (including suspicious files in mailboxes, etc.) will not be inspected/deleted after the connection with Microsoft 365 is established.
・After performing the connection operation with Microsoft 365, it is necessary to confirm whether HENNGE Cloud Protection inspection is functioning on emails received in Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online).
・When conducting a test on OneDrive, please upload quarantine files twice and confirm that the files are isolated.
(This is a known issue based on Microsoft's API specifications. It is a measure to address the issue where files scanned for the first time after connection, even if they contain malware, are not detected.)
