Due to a specification change by Microsoft, it is necessary for customers to update SharePoint permissions for the SharePoint and Teams protection features of HENNGE Cloud Protection.
This update is due to a specification change by Microsoft, and the SharePoint and Teams protection features will be temporarily unavailable until the update is completed.
For affected customers, the following message is displayed on the [Cloud Services] screen in the administration console.
To support the latest features and improvements, please update SharePoint permissions
Required Actions
Please follow the steps below to update SharePoint permissions.
After performing the update, please ensure that the SharePoint and Teams protection targets are correctly configured.
- Access the Cloud Protection Administration
How to access the administration console:
https://support.hdeone.com/hc/en-us/articles/8660213204889 - Select [Collaboration Protection] - [Cloud Services] from the menu on the left
- Click the checkbox of the displayed tenant to check it
- Select "Update permissions to SharePoint" in "Selected Cloud Services" displayed at the bottom of the screen
* If the Microsoft 365 sign-in screen is displayed, please sign in with the Microsoft 365 administrator account - When the "Requested Permissions" screen is displayed, select the "Accept" button
- Confirm that the SharePoint and Teams protection targets are correct
Updating SharePoint permissions will also update Teams permissions.
No action is required for other services (ExchangeOnline, OneDrive).
Special Notes
- There is no impact on past detection logs due to the SharePoint permission update.
