Question
While using File DLP, I was unable to accurately retrieve file sharing information.
Please tell me how to resolve this issue.
Answer
There are instances where file sharing information cannot be accurately retrieved under any of the following conditions.
- The account set as the "main admin account" does not have the appropriate role assigned
- The necessary access rights for using HENNGE File DLP are not granted in the Google Workspace admin settings
If this issue occurs, the following alert will be displayed, and the "Sharing Statuses List" will not be shown on the file details page, preventing various actions such as changing the sharing range.
Resolution
Please perform the following steps to confirm that the necessary roles are set.
Role Confirmation
Confirm that the account set as the "main admin account" has the role appropriate for the service in use.
- Microsoft 365: Global Admin
- Google Workspace: Super Admin
- Box: Box Admin
Confirm "Drive SDK" Settings
- Log in to the Google Admin Console with an admin account.
- From the left menu, open [Apps] - [Google Workspace] - [Drive and Docs].
- Open [Features and Applications].
- Click [Drive SDK] and check the box for [Allow users to access Google Drive with the Drive SDK API].
※ Enabling this allows users to open Drive files with third-party apps and scripts using the Drive API and programmatically access domain data. - Click [Submit] to save the settings.
