We will release a feature regarding email notifications and UI improvements in the administration console when synchronization with group information managed on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace (hereinafter referred to as groupware) fails.
Email DLP provides a synchronization feature for group information from groupware to centrally manage address groups.
A challenge with this feature was that if the synchronization process failed, the Email DLP administrator had to visually check the synchronization results in the administration console, and there was no other way to check the status of the synchronization process.
With this release, Email DLP administrators will be able to detect synchronization failures more quickly and make decisions on how to respond.
1. Email Notification Feature for Synchronization Failures
When synchronization of group information fails, a notification will be automatically sent to the notification email address specified in the "General" notification settings of the administration console.
The newly added "Group Synchronization Failure Notification" will be sent to the existing notification email address.
This address was previously used for sender restriction notifications (only in specific cases and when restricting empty envelope senders).
As the types of email notifications you receive will increase, please check if there are any issues with your current notification address in your operations.

2. UI Improvements in the Administration Console
If synchronization fails, a warning message or icon will be displayed in the Email DLP administration console.
This will allow administrators to more quickly identify abnormalities related to the synchronization process.

FAQ
Can notifications be turned off?
If an address is registered in the "Notification Email Address," notifications cannot be turned off.
Please turn off automatic synchronization until the synchronization feature is improved.
Can multiple addresses be registered?
Only one administrator email address can be set.
If you wish to notify multiple administrators, please set up a group email, etc.
What will the subject and body of the email notification look like when synchronization actually fails?
The following content is expected for notifications to administrators.
