Action summary
This article explains the procedure for administrators using Tadrill to enable the DMI feature.
What is DMI (Direct Message Injection)?
DMI is a feature that uses Microsoft or Google APIs to directly generate training emails in users' mailboxes.
With this feature, it is no longer necessary to register a whitelist in gateway-type security products, and your own domain can be used as the sender domain.
* There are notes regarding the DMI feature, such as it cannot be used for group addresses.
Please review the notes below and, if you wish to use the DMI feature, follow the procedure in this article.
If you do not perform this setup, the SMTP delivery method (delivery via mail server) will be applied.
Notes
- The contents of this article describe features available to customers subscribed to the HENNGE One Pro plan or the standalone Tadrill plan.
- The contents of this article are based on product specifications as of May 2026 and are subject to change without notice.
- If there are trainings that are not started or in progress, the DMI feature cannot be turned off.
For information on checking the training status, please refer to the following article.
[Tadrill] How to check training results - DMI cannot be used to send trainings to group addresses.
When DMI is enabled for a tenant, group addresses cannot be selected as targets when creating trainings.
* If you need to conduct trainings for group addresses, do not enable the DMI feature, or temporarily turn off the setting as needed.
As noted in Note 3, please be careful about the timing of changing the settings. - During training, users may reply to training emails.
Therefore, if you use your own domain as the sender domain, please note the following two points:- If you use an existing email address: You may receive inquiries via replies.
-
If you use a non-existent email address: Reply emails will not be delivered and errors may occur, which could lower your domain's reputation.
For these reasons, if you conduct trainings from your own domain, we recommend creating an email address to receive replies.
- Only for email security products that are installed in the email sending route, such as gateway-type products, whitelist registration is not required.
* If you are using cloud-based or endpoint-type products, you will need to register a whitelist.
