Purpose
- This article explains how to create a new Split DNS in Mesh Network.
Notes
- Mesh Network admin privileges are required to view the actual screens or make configuration changes.
- At the initial login, only the initial admin registered at the time of application can log in to Mesh Network.

Overview of Split DNS

Prerequisites for Split DNS
When configuring Split DNS, please note the following:
- The IP address must be accessible from resources and devices.
- DNS name resolution (UDP / 53) must be allowed to the name server specified in the ACL.
Procedure
Create a New Split DNS
- Access the Mesh Network login screen from the URL below and log in as an admin user.
https://login.hennge.runetale.com - After logging in to the Administration, go to [DNS] and click [Create Name Server].
- Enter the IP address of the name server and the domain name you want to resolve, then click [Create] to complete the setup.
Create an ACL for Split DNS
- Create an ACL to allow communication for name resolution (UDP / 53) to the name server created in the above procedure.
Source: Any device, user, or resource that performs name resolution on the name server
Destination: The newly created name server or the subnet linker connecting to the name server
