Target Audience
Users who are currently using HENNGE Access Control, have the "Administrator" role (privilege), and currently have not configured OTP.
*This does not affect general users. No action or notification is required for general users.
Content
We have prepared a dedicated "Setup Screen (Wizard)" so that administrators can smoothly complete the pre-configuration of the One-Time Password (OTP).
Release Date: Tuesday, July 14, 2026
*This feature supports the pre-configuration required for the "Mandatory Administrator OTP Input" scheduled for December 2026.
The behavior varies depending on the login screen you are using (New Login Screen / Old Login Screen). Please check the details below.
When Using the New Login Screen
On the New Login Screen, the OTP configuration screen will automatically appear at the end of the login procedure. Even if you reach the mandatory enforcement in December without configuring it, you can avoid the situation of "forgetting the pre-configuration and being unable to log in," allowing you to set it up and resolve it on the spot by yourself.
【Setup Flow】
- Login Procedure: Proceed with login as usual using a device certificate, username, password, etc.
- Select Setup Method: Choose your preferred setup method from either email or an authentication app (such as HENNGE Lock).
- Setup: Simply follow the on-screen instructions, such as scanning a QR code or checking your email, to complete the configuration on the spot.
- Completion / Successful Login: Once the setup is complete, you can proceed directly to the post-login screen.
When Using the Old Login Screen
A screen prompting you to configure OTP will appear immediately after a successful login.
On the Old Login Screen, this setup screen will only be triggered during the period 【until the end of November 2026】.
After the mandatory enforcement in December, this skip screen will no longer be displayed, and you will not be able to log in unless the pre-configuration of OTP is complete. Therefore, for administrators using the Old Login Screen, please make sure to complete the configuration 【by the end of November】.
Operation Image (Video)
The screen transitions differ between the New Login Screen and the Old Login Screen. Please refer to the video for the pattern that matches your administrator environment.

④ New Login Screen x Email OTP
⚠️ Differences in the "Skip Menu" depending on the Login Screen
On the Old Login Screen, an "Ignore and Continue" menu is displayed on the screen, allowing you to temporarily skip the configuration. However, this wizard will launch every time an authentication check is performed, such as when accessing an external service. We highly recommend completing the setup as soon as possible.
The New Login Screen does not have an "Ignore and Continue" menu. Please note that login (access to each service) will not be completed until you configure it on the spot.
💡 If you are in a hurry with your work and want to log in immediately
If you are using the New Login Screen and think, "I want to log in right now, but it will take time to decide on the internal policy," we recommend completing the wizard once using either the app or email method temporarily to first succeed in logging in.
The OTP receiving method can be changed later at any time.
