Check on the HENNGE Directory Sync Tool Synchronization Status

Target

For customers who have met the following conditions.

For customers who are using the HENNGE Access Control service.
Users are synchronized from the Windows Active Directory to the HENNGE Access Control.
Using the HENNGE Directory Sync Tool to synchronize users from Active Directory server.

Purpose

To check if the user information and the password information are synchronized correctly from the HENNGE Access Control service admin console.

Precautions

The admin account permission of the HENNGE Access Control is required for this procedure.

Procedure to check the HENNGE Directory Sync Tool Synchronization status (Click to Open)+

Step 1. Check on the following HENNGE Access Control Admin Console URL.

The URL below is for HENNGE Access Control Admin Console, please replace the domain part with the customer's main domain.

https://ap.ssso.hdems.com/admin/[domain.com]

If the main domain that we contracted with HENNGE One was sampledomain.com, please refer to the following example.

https://ap.ssso.hdems.com/admin/sampledomain.com

Step 2. Access the HENNGE Access Control Admin Console URL with an Admin account.

Step 3. Click on the [ Synchronization Log ] in the menu.

Step 4. Look for the [ Search Period ] on the top and set it to the past 6 months, then click on [ Search ].

If the search was performed on 2019/12/01, please search for the period 2019/07/01 ~ 2020/12/01.

※ The Search Period in the field is displayed as [ DD / MM / YY ].

Step 5. Check the synchronization log information.

The Synchronization Log will be displayed below as shown in the picture.

If the Synchronization log does not show any results, there may be errors occurred on the server side where the HENNGE Directory Sync Tool is installed on.

If the above situation arises, please contact the HENNGE implementation guide or our support window.

Step 6. Please ensure that there are no error displayed in the synchronization log.

If there are red X marks displayed under the [ Error ] in the Synchronization Log, there are some reason causing the synchronization failure.

Step 7. Please ensure that there are no error displayed in the Synchronization Log.

There may be two types of results displayed in the Synchronization Log.

1. Synchronization of user information from Windows Active Directory to HENNGE Access Control.

2. Synchronization of password information from Windows Active Directory to HENNGE Access Control.

Case 1 : If User Synchronization is Successful

The synchronization takes place once every two hours.

For User Properties (User Name, UPN etc.) that have been edited on the Windows Active Directory will be synchronized to the HENNGE Access Control and be reflected.

The information of synchronization will be displayed on the synchronization log even if not all of the users on the Windows Active Directory have been changed.

Expand the Log, there will be the [ HDE One Directory Sync <Version Information> ] information and the user information displayed in the synchronization log.

Please ensure that this log is displayed periodically and there are no error displayed in the log.

Case 2 : If Password Synchronization is Successful

The synchronization takes place once every three minutes.

For Account Password that have been edited on the Windows Active Directory will be synchronized to the HENNGE Access Control and be reflected.

The information of synchronization will be displayed ONLY for users that have password changed on the Windows Active Directory.

Expand the Log, there will be the [Start password syncing ] information and the user information displayed in the synchronization log.
