How to create new users in HENNGE Access Control

Purpose

This article shows how to create new users in HENNGE Access Control admin console.

Cautions

1. HENNGE Access Control admin console URL differs depending on each customer.
   URL  : https://ap.ssso.hdems.com/admin/[main domain]

2. Administrator ID and password are required to access the HENNGE Access Control admin console.

3. If users are synced from Active Directory to HENNGE Access Control, then direct user creation in admin console is invalid. (You can create users in admin console but they will be deleted when AD user sync is executed to HENNGE Access Control.)

Detail 

User registration method

There are 2 methods to register a user (users) in admin console.

1. Register each user.

1.1. Select [User] - [Users] on the left side menu in HENNGE Access Control admin console.

1.2. Click [+ New User] in the top left.

1.3. Fill in necessary information (explained later) and click [+ Add].

Necessary information when user registration

Please input the following information to create a user (users).

1. Username

Unique value which identifies the user in HENNGE Access Control.

This value is used for logging in HENNGE Access Control.

2. Initial Password

Password which is used for the user to log in HENNGE Access Control for the first time.

Note that this initial password is not affected by [Password Policy] in [Password Related Settings].

3. Password Change Policy

・Force password change : The user has to changed initial password if first log in succeeded.

・Password Never Expires
: Password will not expire with this setting.


・Default Password Expiration
: Follow the [ Password Expiration Days ] in [ Password Related Settings ].

4. Admin

If "Admin" check box is ON, the user can log in HENNGE Access Control admin console.

5. Family Name

This column is for user's [Family Name].

You can set a maximum of 256 characters.

6. Given Name

This column is for user's [Given Name].

You can set a maximum of 256 characters.

7. Display Name (Only for Microsoft365)

This column is for user's [Display Name].

You can set a maximum of 256 characters.

8. UserPrincipalName (Only for Microsoft365)

Need to set Microsoft 365 ID (UserPrincipalName) in this column.

9. Email (SAML UID) (Only for Google Workspace)

Need to set Google Workspace ID (Email Address) in this column.

10. OTP Notification Email (Optional)

Administrator can set OTP (One Time Password) Notification Email address in this column.
If OTP log in policy is set to the user, OTP is automatically sent to the specified email address when HENNGE Access Control screen appeared.

11. Access Policy Group

Select one of the access policy groups which an administrator want to assign to the user.
