Change the default domain for Microsoft 365

Target

Customers who federate Microsoft 365 authentication with HENNGE Access Control are the target audience.

Purpose

When configuring federation between HENNGE Access Control and Microsoft 365, set the default domain of Microsoft 365 to the initial domain of Microsoft 365 (xxx.onmicrosoft.com).

Notes

1. Information (username and password) of the global administrator account of Microsoft 365 tenant is required.

Detailed Steps and Explanation

1. Confirming the Account with Access to Microsoft 365 Admin Center

Using the information of the global administrator account of Microsoft 365 tenant, confirm access to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

2. Changing the Default Domain Setting of Microsoft 365

2.1. Click [Show All] in the left menu of Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

2.2. Click [Settings] → [Domains] in the left menu.

2.3. Check the box on the left side of the initial domain of Microsoft 365 (xxx.onmicrosoft.com).

2.4. Click [Set as default] at the top of the screen.

2.5. Click [Set as default] on the [Do you want to set this domain as the default?] screen that appears.
