Overview
- This article explains how to configure Email Archive so that emails sent and received via Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online) are archived in Email Archive, for customers using Email Archive with Microsoft 365.

- You will create two Journal Rules during this connection process.
If you do not have enough available rule slots, please adjust accordingly. - If any of the following settings already exist, please take a screenshot showing the configuration details or use the PowerShell commands below to collect the information, and send it to us before proceeding with this connection process.

・ [Solutions] - [Data lifecycle management] - [Exchange (legacy)] - [Journal rules] - Please ensure that the latest domain information on the Microsoft 365 side is registered with HENNGE.
In particular, if the domain set as the "Default Domain" in Microsoft 365 is not registered with HENNGE, Email Archive may not function properly and archiving may fail.

Procedure
- Open Microsoft Purview.
- Click [Settings] - [Data lifecycle management] - [Exchange (legacy)].
- Enter “ndr@journal.hdemail.jp” in [Undeliverable journal report recipient] and save.
- Click [Solutions] - [Data lifecycle management] - [Exchange (legacy)] - [Journal rules] - [New rule].
- Enter the following information:
- [Journal report recipient]: Please refer to the [Connection Settings] in the [Connected Service List] - [HENNGE Email Archive] on the Customer Portal for the value to set.
[Customer Portal] How to check the HENNGE One Connected Service List - [Journal rule name]: “HENNGE Journal Rule 1”
- [Senders or recipients of journaled messages]: All users
- [Type of messages to journal]: All messages
- [Journal report recipient]: Please refer to the [Connection Settings] in the [Connected Service List] - [HENNGE Email Archive] on the Customer Portal for the value to set.
- After entering the above, click [Next].
- Review the details and click [Submit].
- Click [Solutions] - [Data lifecycle management] - [Exchange (legacy)] - [Journal rules] - [New rule].
- Enter the following information:
- [Journal report recipient]: Please refer to the [Connection Settings] in the [Connected Service List] - [HENNGE Email Archive] on the Customer Portal for the value to set.
[Customer Portal] How to check the HENNGE One Connected Service List - [Journal rule name]: “HENNGE Journal Rule 2”
- [Senders or recipients of journaled messages]: All users
- [Type of messages to journal]: All messages
- [Journal report recipient]: Please refer to the [Connection Settings] in the [Connected Service List] - [HENNGE Email Archive] on the Customer Portal for the value to set.
- After entering the above, click [Next].
- Review the details and click [Submit].
