- Customers using Email Archive with Google Workspace
Purpose
- This article explains how emails sent and received via Google Workspace (Gmail) are archived in Email Archive.

- The latest domain information in Google Workspace must be registered with HENNGE.
If registration is required, please apply for domain addition from the article below.
I want to add a domain in use - There are many similar items, so please be careful when configuring the settings.
Procedure
Pre-configuration Checklist

Access the Google Workspace [Google Admin console].

From the left menu, open [Apps] – [Google Workspace] – [Gmail].

Open [Default routing], review the contents, and if there are existing settings, take a screenshot showing the configuration and send it to us before proceeding with this connection work.

Return to [Gmail], open [Email Routing], review the contents, and if there are existing settings, take a screenshot showing the configuration and send it to us before proceeding with this connection work.
Add Google Workspace Host
1. Access [Google Admin console] – [Apps] – [Google Workspace] – [Gmail].
2. Go to [Hosts] – [Add route], enter the following values, and click [Save] to create a total of 4 hosts.
Host 1
- Name: HENNGE Email Archive (rsmtpd_inbound)
- Hostname: in.r01.hdems.com
- Port number: 25
- Options: Check [Perform MX lookup on host] and [Require secure (TLS) connections for sending and receiving email]
* Do not check [Require CA signed certificate] and [Verify certificate host].
Host 2
- Name: HENNGE Email Archive (rsmtpd_outbound)
- Hostname: out.r01.hdems.com
- Port number: 25
- Options: Check [Perform MX lookup on host] and [Require secure (TLS) connections for sending and receiving email]
* Do not check [Require CA signed certificate] and [Verify certificate host].
Host 3
- Name: HENNGE Email Archive (bsmtpd_inbound)
- Hostname: in.r02.hdems.com
- Port number: 25
- Options: Check [Perform MX lookup on host] and [Require secure (TLS) connections for sending and receiving email]
* Do not check [Require CA signed certificate] and [Verify certificate host].
If checked, emails will not be archived.
Host 4
- Name: HENNGE Email Archive (bsmtpd_outbound)
- Hostname: out.r02.hdems.com
- Port number: 25
- Options: Check [Perform MX lookup on host] and [Require secure (TLS) connections for sending and receiving email]
* Do not check [Require CA signed certificate] and [Verify certificate host].
If checked, emails will not be archived.

Add Google Workspace Email Routing Settings
Access [Google Admin console] – [Apps] – [Google Workspace] – [Gmail].
Follow the steps below in order to create 4 Email Routing Settings.
* For the values to be set in Email Routing Settings, please refer to [Service List] – [HENNGE Email Archive] – [Connection Settings] in the Customer Portal.

Email Routing Setting 1+
- Click [Email Routing] – [Settings].
* If other Email Routing Settings already exist, click [Add another rule] instead of [Settings]. - When the popup opens, enter [HENNGE Email Archive (rsmtpd_inbound)] in the description field for [Email Routing].
- Under [1. Effect on email], check [Receive].
- Under [2. For the above types of messages, perform the following actions] – [Select all account types to apply this action to] – check both [Active user accounts] and [Group accounts].
Under [2. For the above types of messages, perform the following actions] – [Other recipients] – check [Add recipient], then click [Add] when it appears.
In the "Add setting" screen, click [Basic], then select [Advanced].
On the "Add setting" advanced screen, check [Change route] under [Route], and select [HENNGE Email Archive (rsmtpd_inbound)] from the dropdown menu.
On the "Add setting" advanced screen, under [Spam and delivery options], check [Do not deliver spam to this recipient] and [Do not deliver bounce messages from this recipient to the sender].
On the "Add setting" advanced screen, under [Headers] – check [Add custom header], then click [Add] when it appears.

On the "Add setting" – [Add header] screen, configure as follows, click [Save] to close, and return to the "Add setting" – [Advanced] screen.

Email Routing Setting 2+
- Click [Email Routing] – [Add another rule].
- When the popup opens, enter [HENNGE Email Archive (rsmtpd_outbound)] in the description field for [Email Routing].
- Under [1. Effect on email], check both [Send] and [Internal - send].
- Under [2. For the above types of messages, perform the following actions] – [Select all account types to apply this action to] – check [Active user accounts] only.
Under [2. For the above types of messages, perform the following actions] – [Other recipients] – check [Add recipient], then click [Add] when it appears.
In the "Add setting" screen, click [Basic], then select [Advanced].
On the "Add setting" advanced screen, check [Change route] under [Route], and select [HENNGE Email Archive (rsmtpd_outbound)] from the dropdown menu.

Email Routing Setting 4+
- Click [Email Routing] - [Add another rule].
- A popup will appear. In the [Description] field for [Email Routing], enter [HENNGE Email Archive (bsmtpd_outbound)].
- In [1. Effect on email], check both [Send] and [Internal - Send].
- In [2. For the above types of messages, perform the following actions] - [Select all account types to apply this action to] - check only [Active user accounts].
In [2. For the above types of messages, perform the following actions] - [Other recipients] - check [Add recipient], then click the displayed [Add].
On the "Add Settings" screen, click [Basic] and select [Advanced].
On the "Add Settings" advanced screen, check [Route] - [Change route], then select [HENNGE Email Archive (bsmtpd_outbound)] from the displayed pull-down menu.
On the "Add Settings" advanced screen, under [Spam and delivery options], check [Do not deliver spam to this recipient] and [Do not deliver bounce messages from this recipient to the sender].
On the "Add Settings" advanced screen, under [Header] - check [Add custom header], then click the displayed [Add].

On the "Add Settings" - [Add Header] screen, configure as follows, then click [Save] to close and return to the "Add Settings" - [Advanced] screen.
