Feature Overview
Email DLP is a service that integrates with Exchange Online and Gmail to provide filtering features, primarily to prevent misdirected emails sent outside your organization.
In addition to features that prevent misdirected emails, such as suspending emails for a certain period or restricting the sending of emails that violate security policies, it also provides a secure way to exchange Files.
Flexible misdirected email prevention based on Predicate
For emails that meet Predicate such as specified Sender, Recipients, or whether Files exists, different levels of misdirected email prevention can be achieved by using filtering Actions, such as Suspend and Request Approval, according to your requirements.
Supports multiple file sending methods
You can implement PPAP-free file sharing (※) and select a file sending method according to the security Policy of the recipient.

※ Background of the PPAP review
When exchanging Files by email, it has traditionally been common practice in Japan to send Files as encrypted ZIP Attachments (PPAP ※).
However, following the spread of malware that exploits the fact that encrypted ZIP Files cannot be virus-scanned, issues with sending Files using PPAP, such as those listed At most, have come into focus. As a result, there is a growing movement to review file-sharing methods.
The Secure Download feature of Email DLP resolves these PPAP issues.
[Issues with PPAP]
・Encrypted ZIP Files cannot be checked for viruses.
・There is a risk of interception because the emails containing the file and Password are sent through the same route.
・Once sent, the file remains with the Recipients permanently.
・There is no way to Confirm who has downloaded the file.
※ PPAP is a coined term for a file-sharing method using Password-protected ZIP Files and represents the following initials.
(P)Send a Password-protected ZIP file
(P)Send the Password
(A)Encryption
(P)Protocol
