- This procedure uses the new Outlook to import emails.
The import behavior differs from previous versions of Outlook, so please ensure that the new Outlook is available before proceeding.
Procedure
This procedure explains how to import emails using the new Outlook.
* If you are importing data into other email clients, please use an email client that supports the eml file format.
Whether emails can be viewed and how they are displayed depends on the specifications of the email client.
Click the gear icon at the top right of the new Outlook screen.
The Settings screen will open. Click [Files] - [Import] - [Start Import].
The Email Import screen will open. From [Browse], select the folder containing the eml files.
* You cannot import ZIP files directly, so please select the folder where you extracted the files.If a confirmation popup appears at the top of the screen, click [Upload] to upload the eml files.
From [Select Destination] - [Select Folder], choose the folder where you want to store the emails, then click [Import].
- The screen will return to [Settings] - [Import], and the import will begin.
Once the import is complete, you can view the emails from the folder you selected in step 3.
