Creating a new VLSC account with onmicrosoft.com domain
For accounts logging in to the Microsoft Volume Licensing Center (VLSC), we assign a custom domain account and a Microsoft 365 tenant initial domain (domain containing .onmicrosoft.com) respectively, and operate by using the accounts according to the login destination.
1. Creating an account to use with the Microsoft Volume Licensing Center (VLSC)
After creating a Microsoft 365 tenant, create accounts with the initial domain of Microsoft 365 (.onmicrosoft.com domain) for the number of people who can log in to the Volume Licensing Center (VLSC).
The user part of these accounts (the part before "@" in the account name) is different from the string of the corporate domain account to be created in Microsoft 365 in the future.
Example:
If the account for a specific user's corporate domain is "user@example.com", the account for the Volume Licensing Center (VLSC) would be test.user@example.onmicrosoft.com.
(example.onmicrosoft.com is the initial domain of your Microsoft 365.)
These accounts do not need to be assigned Microsoft 365 licenses.
2. Adding accounts to the Microsoft Volume Licensing Center (VLSC)
Allow access to your Microsoft Volume Licensing Center (VLSC) for the accounts created in step 1.
Regarding this procedure, there is no problem whether it is adding new accounts or replacing the login names of existing accounts.
