Purpose
- This document explains how to create/edit synchronized address groups in Email DLP by integrating with groupware (Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace).
Notes
- The content of this article is based on the specifications as of August 2025 and may be changed without prior notice.
- The following groups can be synced with Email DLP.
Microsoft 365
※Dynamic distribution groups are not included in group sync.
・Microsoft 365 Groups
・Distribution Lists
・Security Groups
・Mail-enabled Security Groups
Google Workspace
※Target Audience groups and personal groups created in Google Contacts are not included in group sync.
・Google Groups - To view the actual screens or make configuration changes, Email DLP admin privileges are required.

Pre-checks
Please allow group synchronization in the integrated groupware in advance.

Procedure

Access [Address Settings] - [Address Groups] from the administration console.

Click [Create] from the Address Group screen.

Select [Synchronized Address Group] and click [Proceed].

When you select the group you want to integrate on the Create Synchronized Address Group screen, a list of group IDs and email addresses belonging to this group will be displayed.
※ If you want emails sent from the group address to be processed the same as those from the members, please check [Include Directory Group addresses in this Address Group]. - Click [Create] to create the synchronized address group.
Next Steps
Proceed to create/edit rule groups or rules to apply to the members of the address group.
※ If rule groups or rules have already been created, no further action is required.
