Question
We are sharing a single PC among multiple people.
How should certificates be installed so that everyone can log in to Access Control using Device Certificates?
Answer
When multiple users use a shared PC, the method for issuing and installing Device Certificates varies depending on the operation method.
- If everyone logs on to the PC using a common (single) Windows account
You can issue and install one "Shared" type Device Certificate, which can be used by multiple HENNGE One user accounts.
At login, users log in using their own email address, password, and the shared Device Certificate.
-
If each user logs on to the PC using a separate Windows account
Please issue and install a "Personal" type Device Certificate for each Windows account.
Certificates can only be used with the Windows user account where they were installed. In Pattern 2, if there are multiple shared PCs, you will need Device Certificates for each device × Windows account.
Therefore, if there are multiple shared PCs, we recommend using Pattern 1.
