Impact of Changing Your Company's IP Address in HENNGE One

Question

Are there any impacts on HENNGE One services or required procedures when adding or changing the IP addresses used by our company?

Answer

The services affected by adding or changing IP addresses and their corresponding procedures are as follows.

If you are using IP address control or Entrance Pass in Access Control (including Secure Browser and Device Certificate), or if you are using IP address control settings in the Email Archive service, configuration changes are required.
Please refer to the details below.
* Since Access Control authentication may also be used in other HENNGE One services, please make sure to update the Access Control settings as well.

Access Control +

If you have configured access control by IP address, you will need to add or remove accepted IP addresses.
* This also applies to Secure Browser and Device Certificate.
Additionally, if you have specified IP addresses in the Entrance Pass Issue Condition, changes are also required.
Please follow the steps below to make the necessary changes.

When changing the IP address specified in an Access Policy Group

  1. Log in to the Access Control admin console.

  2. Click [Access Control] - [Access Policy Groups] from the left menu.

  3. Click the Access Policy Group you want to edit.

  4. According to your environment, select the relevant Access Policy Template from the dropdown list in the [Service Access Settings] section and click the Edit button.
    * If the same Access Policy Template is used for [Condition to allow access], [Condition to allow legacy authentication], or [Skip OTP authentication], editing any one of these will apply the changes to all conditions.

  5. The Edit Access Policy Template screen will appear. Modify the IP address in [Condition to allow access].
    * To add an IP address, use the format "or ip4:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx".
    * You can also specify a range using CIDR notation (ip4:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/xx).

    • If the current value is "ip4:yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy or ip4:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx or hsb:true"
      • To add zzz.zzz.zzz.zzz
        ip4:yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy or ip4:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx or ip4:zzz.zzz.zzz.zzz or hsb:true
      • To remove xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and add zzz.zzz.zzz.zzz
        ip4:yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy or ip4:zzz.zzz.zzz.zzz or hsb:true
    • If the current value is "@xxxx@"
      An IP Sets is configured.

  6. Click [Save Changes].

When changing the IP address specified in the Entrance Pass Issue Condition

If you need to change the IP address used in the Entrance Pass Issue Condition, follow the steps below.

  1. Log in to the Access Control admin console.

  2. Click [System] - [Domain Settings] from the left menu.

  3. Click the [Others] tab.

  4. In the [Entrance Pass (Cookie)] section, select the relevant Access Policy Template from the [Entrance Pass Issue Condition] dropdown list and click the Edit button.

  5. The Edit Access Policy Template screen will appear. Modify the IP address in [Condition to allow access].
    * The format for IP addresses is "or ip4:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" or "or ip4:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/xx" (CIDR notation).

    • If the current value is "ip4:yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy or ip4:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx or hsb:true"
      • To add zzz.zzz.zzz.zzz

      • To remove xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and add zzz.zzz.zzz.zzz

    • If the current value is "@xxxx@"

  6. Click [Save Changes].

Email Archive +

Email Archive can perform access control by IP address independently from Access Control.
If you are using IP control settings, you will need to add or remove IP addresses.

* Due to the nature of the service, which stores your organization's sent and received emails, HENNGE cannot access your organization's Email Archive.
Please have your admin make the necessary changes.

    * To add an IP address, use the format "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" or specify a range using CIDR notation (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/xx).
    * Changes to IP addresses will also apply to Email Archive Classic.
    * Email Archive Modern supports both IPv4 and IPv6.
