Question
I want to change the user ID, family name/given name, or email address due to a name change.
If users are being synchronized to Google Workspace via Account provisioning, what procedures should I follow?
Answer
If you want to change the username, you need to recreate the user in the Access Control Administration.
Please follow the procedure below.
*If you are using any of the following features, additional steps are required in addition to deleting the user.
- Secure Browser: Device approval is required again.
[Secure Browser] Installing Secure Browser and Device Authentication - Device Certificates: Device Certificates must be reissued.
*If you are using a tenant certificate, reinstallation is not required.
[Device Certificate] Issuing Device Certificates
If you change the family name/given name, display name, or login ID (email address) in the Access Control Administration, the information will be automatically synchronized to Google Workspace via Account provisioning.
Therefore, recreating the user is not necessary.
